Originally recorded for Amels‘ album “Bravebird”  on her own indie label Bliss Life Records in 2004, which show-cased her ethereal high-octave vocal range, IAMNOBODI (of prominent label Soulection)  has certainly put a nicely experimental future space twist on the track whilst maintaining the strongly feminine and beautiful qualities of the original. Opening up the email account to find this..the title track taken off Nia Andrews recently released “Colours EP”  reworked in a Transmutation version by none other than the stellar Hiatus Kaiyote !! Nai Palm and the Hiatus Kaiyote crew who are due to play alongside the legendary D’Angelo on the same bill as Miss Erykah Badu and Busta Rhymes in August at the Summer Spirit Festival in Columbia, Maryland and Nia who has an amazing repertoire of collaborations linking to Mary J Blige, Lauryn Hill and Common, have “In the spirit of innovation, reinvention, of the art of deconstructing to create anew” completely flipped “Colours” to create a hugely warm and exquisite twist on an already dramatically strong and powerful track.
